Regular monitoring and assessment of erosion and corrosion within process systems are crucial for detecting metal loss in pipework. This becomes particularly critical when dealing with components exposed to sand-bearing liquids. In response to a request from our client in Myanmar, we conducted an assessment of their existing intrusive erosion-corrosion system.

Our engineer, Muhammad Farid Mohamed is seeing surveying locations to install a new electronics enclosure which will form part of the upgrade to the existing system. This will allow the client to monitor metal loss in real-time from their central control room. We will also be replacing all the existing probes on the platform which is scheduled to take place during the next TA window.
