In 2022, SMS conducted an extensive Surface Sand Management scope over a 3 month period for a PETRONAS field offshore Malaysia. The team here worked closely with PCSB asset and COE team to assist them in their efforts to come up with a method to categorise wells based on sanding severity. Upon completion we were invited to be co-authors of an SPE paper that will be presented next week at GOTECH Dubai 2023. The paper, titled Successful Analysis of Acoustic Sand Monitoring In Tandem With Online Sand Sampling to Safeguard and Optimize Production In A Mature Oil Field will be presented by PCSB engineer, Alvin Zhi Siang.
