SMS have been awarded a three-year Sand Management contract in Malaysia worth an estimated MYR 10 million (£1.8 million). The Sand Management contract will include onshore and offshore engineering services focussing on increasing production and reliability, whilst ensuring the integrity of their assets.

The contract will be delivered by SMS’ Kuala Lumpur office and will support up to five new full-time positions in Malaysia. The contract award, which falls upon SMS’ five-year anniversary of working in Malaysia, follows a successful pilot project and subsequent joint Petronas & SMS, SPE presentation at the 2016 European Sand Management Forum.
