Subsea Tank & Topside Packages
An operator required a corrosion and cathodic protection monitoring system (CPMS) for real-time monitoring of a Subsea Oil Storage Tank (SOST). The solution involved installing subsea corrosion probes to assess the fluid's corrosiveness, alongside dual-function anode sensors to monitor the performance of the cathodic protection system. This marked the first deployment of such a system in a tank containing live hydrocarbons, with the scope fully tailored to meet the client's operational and project-specific needs.

Many offshore wells producing sand remain unmonitored due to limited power and communication infrastructure at remote sites. SMS solves this with a solar- powered, wireless Acoustic Sand Monitoring system that provides its own power and transmits real-time sand production data via cellular networks-making continuous monitoring possible even in isolated locations.
