Two Decades Strong: A Milestone Message from SMS’s Operations Director

“It is great to reflect that we have been in operation for two decades. This year marks the 20th anniversary of Sand Monitoring Services in the UK and the 10th anniversary of our Malaysian subsidiary, SMS Sand Management Services Sdn Bhd. Reaching this milestone is a big achievement, and it reflects the resilience, adaptability, and commitment to excellence that our team has shown over the years.
We began with a focus on sand management, and since then, we have expanded our services to include not only our core sand and corrosion instruments but also innovative flow assurance technologies, gas analysers and sampling solutions. Along the way, we have built strong partnerships with industry leaders and institutions, allowing us to continually enhance our technology and service offerings to better meet our clients’ needs.
What started in the UK has now grown into a global presence. Our client base now includes a diverse mix of International Energy Companies, National Energy Companies, and Well Service Companies across more than twenty-three countries, covering the North Sea, Africa, Southeast Asia, and the Middle East. I am incredibly proud of the strong relationships we have formed in these key regions, which demonstrate our commitment to delivering excellent service and specialised solutions.
The journey has not always been easy, but thanks to the unwavering support and hard work of our team, we have been able to achieve our goals and have gone this far. I also want to thank our clients for their trust and partnership. Your support has been crucial to our achievements and success.
Together, we have achieved something truly remarkable. As we continue to grow, our goal is to deliver exceptional value to our clients, excel in the natural energies industries and work hand in hand with our clients as we embark on our vital energy transition journey. We look forward to welcoming new clients in these developing market sectors. We are actively working on several technology projects to further enhance our services and deliver even greater value.
